He married Nancy Davison Osborne. Nancy was the daughter of James Davidson, Sr. and Solomon Osborne's widow.

We, James Osborn, John Wood, Henry Wood, of Scott Co., Va., and George Morison, of Sullivan Co., Tenn., relinquish forever all claims unto our brother, Jonathan Wood, admr. of Jonathan Wood, decd. and herself [Nancy] and her real personal estate and all other affairs whatever from the decease of our father, Jonathan W. Wood, decd.
