William Comstock was born about 1791 and was the son of Levi Comstock and Abigail Richardson. He married Mary Patterson. Elizabeth Betsey Comstock (1812, married William Seaman and Francis Bowen), During the War of 1812, William served in the Leeds County Militia. On June 19, 1820, William petitioned to surrender his father's patent for lot 18, 1st concession, 2nd range in Yonge so that he could claim the same land.
