Simply Cake


Either Loaf or Layer

  from Mrs. Austin Foletaber  

1 1/2 cups flour after sifting
1 cup sugar
2 even teaspoons baking powder

put all together dry into a bowl.

Milk into cup, 1/3 cup butter
break 2 eggs into this ofiel cup with milk.

dadd wet to dry and stir,

add 2 teaspoons vanilla.

Aunt Pit often assumes that any idiot knows what to do with the cake ingredients. For those of us who don't:
Gather ingredients
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease cake pan.
Mix wet ingredients in a bowl.
Mix dry ingredients in another bowl.
Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Pour batter into pan/pans.
Bake about 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the cake is dry.
