He married Sarah Keys. Sarah was the daughter of Solomon Keyes.

They settled in Chelmsford.

Samuel [Foster] (2), son of Samuel (1) Foster, was born in Wenham in 1650, died July 21, 1730. He married there, May 28, 1678, Sarah, born 1657, died December 10, 1738, daughter of Solomon Keyes.
