Valentine Hart, Jr. was born on September 3, 1769. His father was Valentine Hart.

Valentine married Mary Standoff on February 10, 1795 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. Samuel Houston performed the marriage. Mary was the daughter of John Standoff.

Valentine and Mary's children probably included:

Adam Hart (1787),
Patsy Hart (1809, married Jeffry Halsey),
Elizabeth Hart (married Michael Myers),
John Hart,
Benjamin Hart,
Mary Hart (married A. Fannan),
Joseph Hart, and
James Hart.

They moved to Wythe County, Virginia before 1836.

Valentine died in 1859.
